Mike Coon

Mike Coon has served as regional business development manager of AIT Bioscience since August 2009. He comes to AIT after most recently serving as regional director for business development with MPI Research in Mattawan, Mich. He holds more than 22 years of pharmaceutical research experience ranging from bioanalytical method development, validation, trouble shooting and routine analyses to coordinating bioanalytical outsourcing and ensuring regulatory compliance with HPLC, immunoanalytical, and LC/MS/MS methodologies.
Mike brings a wide breadth of scientific and business knowledge from both the client and CRO supplier sides of the bioanalytical outsourcing equation. From his eight years of bioanalytical outsourcing for Parke-Davis/Warner-Lambert and 10 years running the bioanalytical laboratory at AvTech, he brings a unique ability to understand a client’s specific needs in support of their development projects.
Coon earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, with specialty certification in clinical laboratory science, and is a resident of Portage, Mich. He and his wife of 27 years are the proud parents of two children. In his spare time, Coon works as a voice actor. In the past seven years, he has provided voice-overs for audio books, live reproductions of classic radio shows, training programs, telephone answering systems, and hundreds of radio and television commercials.
Janna Chambers

Janna Chambers has served as regional business development manager of AIT Bioscience since October 2009. Prior to coming to AIT, Chambers served as director of business development, bioanalytical chemistry, for Cetero Research. She also spent 12 years with Bioanalytical Systems, Inc. (BASi) in West Lafayette, Ind., where she held a variety of positions including senior director of client services, business development manager for strategic accounts, stability program manager, and manager of the samples and standards management group.
She comes to AIT with more than 22 years of pharmaceutical experience ranging from inventory control, materials planning, and quality operations to managing corporate contracts, confidentiality and master service agreements, business office processes, and pharmaceutical program management.
Chambers earned her bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Mich., and is a resident of West Lafayette, Ind. She and her husband of 15 years are the proud parents of two children. In her free time, Chambers enjoys watching football of all levels, including her son’s middle school team all the way up through the Big Ten and NFL, feeding up to 200 humming birds in her backyard in the summer, mowing her five-acre yard, and watching her kids participate in volleyball, basketball, and other activities.
